About Us

She's Kristin and I'm Kevin.  At 29, we are recently "retired" corporate lawyers from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  We met and began secretly dating as summer students at a national law firm in 2005 (the "worst kept secret" at the Firm, we were later told), were engaged two years later and married on the first day of summer in 2008.

We share many common interests and don't seem to tire of spending time together, which will hopefully serve us well on the trip.  We like the outdoors, sports and exercise, we love pizza and time with family, and share a passion for travel and wine - I prefer red, but Kristin is not known to discriminate. 

Previous journeys have taken us throughout much of Europe and briefly into Central America.  Kristin has also visited Turkey and Southeast Asia, and enjoyed extended stays in Australia/New Zealand and Greece.
